WIP Malakim Phoros on the cheap

Here's my Malakim Phoros i made with my bits i wanted to go for that menacing stalking look. painted pics will be up as soon as i can and photos are from my iphone sry for resolution issues

Parts
DC short haired head
SG Chest plate
Space Wolves Pelt back
DC Legs
SG Glaive and Catachist
Tycho Back pack
Company champion Shoulder pads

Before you ask i chose the back plate because of Sanguinius wearing the leopard pelts and of the battle of Antax photo in the codex

How do you plan on painting his armour? Yellow or a bronze/gold? I really want to kit bash one myself, but I really want to figure out some more of the details before I do.

When I do gold I base brown, a layer of GW bronze, GW shining gold, a wash of sepia and a burnished gold highlight. My plan is to leave the top part of the shoulder pads yellow with the chapter symbol and the lower half the chequy white black pattern. I'm open to any and all suggestions.

I'm such a dorky *** want to be right type when it comes to this stuff. I'm really looking forward to see how you paint it. FW drives me nuts for not at least giving some art of the new characters. :)
