Trueborn Dracon query

The Dracon's options say that it can replace its pistol with the blast pistol and CCW with something better, but does not mention replacing a splinter rifle, which I assume is his initial wargear like a Sybarite (who has the option of replacing it for pistol and CCW mentioned) or other Trueborn. Is this something GW missed, and can I give a Dracon a Shardcarbine?

Carbine yes, as the list goes u technically give him the carbine b4 the dracon upgrade, They are linear up-down upgrade, with later upgrades cancelling previous upgrades, recent faqs such as BA lib dread support this theory :)

But yes u can. he may have a carbine, but he can only have pistol/cw upgrades if he have it.
