So my girlfriend has a shiny new camera with the best Super Macro function, and so I'm uploading some pictures of my armies for feedback. My IG army is my prime army; I've been a guard player since 1991, so they're very dear to my heart.

Narratively, they're from a Forge World, so there are many more servitors than an IG army would usually field. Also, I have always loved Ogryns, rules be damned, and so they figure quite heavily in all my lists.

Ogryn Squad:

Good stuff but I wouldn't call it "finished" yet, you still have lots of mask details and eyes to do.

I love how the epic tanks are used as tracks for the servitors. It took me a moment to figure out what they were. And thanks for the good quality pics of these great minis.

Whoa dude! Those models just ooze atmosphere, they look like they walked straight out of a Dan Abnett novel; ^^

Those Ogryns are unbelievable! <8O

Is the Culexus Assassin scratchbuilt?

The assassin is not a scratchbuild. It's one of Urban Mammoth's hercules-class biomechs with a culexus head. the original model looks like this:

I don't (and won't ever) play in a tournament, so I never bother worrying about miniature manufacturers, as while GW make some lovely stuff, there are so many pretty models out there...

The ogryn's greatcoat is excellent (they all are but the bonehead in particular) .

It would have to be a very mean spirited tournament organiser to complain about the assassin.
