My girlfriend has a new shiny camera, so I'm uploading a bunch of new photos for some feedback. I've just put up my Tyranids, which are largely finished. Here's the Orks I'm working on, largely for the school wargaming club I run.

Nice set of Ork wheels. You should really model an ork biker with a good handlebar/biker moustache. :D

Say, how big is that boxy truck? It looks as if it's tiny but if that door is to scale with a 'umie...

I love most of what you've shown us here, the Big Mek is *amazing*, his weapons rock! Having said that, I'm not very keen on the Wazdakka conversion. Don't get me wrong, the frame and the dakkaguns are really, really impressive, but I think the Warbike looks a bit too big. In addition, the three bosspoles with the flaming princeps heads are missing (but you might not have gotten round to those yet), and Wazdakka doesn't look much like how he looks in the codex: he's missing his top knot, his power klaw in the codex is a huge chainsaw chained onto his arm, he doesn't have an iron gob in the codex (it would cover up his mouth, which is shown to be wide open and yelling), and this Wazdakka is missing the huge cannon mounted above the front wheel arch of his Warbike.

Sorry for the nit-picking, but it just doesn't seem like Wazdakka to me. =(

@Nosmo75: Youre quite right about the missing bosspole; I do intend to do those - basically I did this in an afternoon, then become distracted by other projects. You're also quite right about the bike being too big. It's deliberately massive; thi is to a.) Scare the brown out of my opponents and b.) Turn him into a deliberate fire-magnet. As for the topknot, I can't stand those stupid things; all my orks are bald (as I've said before, I can't stand long flowing hair on models - I've seen what happens to people with long hair in real fights, and I just can't suspend my disbelief/let the Rule of Cool take sway. You have long hair in a fist fight, you're getting frakking scalped). The iton gob is there because it was the only spare ork head I had knocking around, and I just like the iron gobs. They pleasingly remind me of Trap Jaw from He-Man.

Bottom line - while I can appreciate wanting a model to be "canon", I generally couldn't care less about how something is "supposed" to look - there's an awful lot in GW's aesthetics that I find utterly repugnant (nothing that looks like it belongs on a 1980s NWOBHM album, basically. I'll never field a CSM army for that reason). If it's my model, it'll follow my aesthetic sensibilities first and foremost. There's a reason I made my own version of Mephiston rather than the official model (because I will be cold embrace of death before I field a model with a mullet that atrocious).
