Well, I converted Marneus Calgar into a Dark Angel.

I also put him up on Coolmini, if anyone cares to vote. (http://www.coolminiornot.com/267051)

That's a very nice job mate. I especially like the face, very well done and his 5 o' clock shadow is spot on.

That looks sweet. I like the green shading, it really gives it that something extra.

Wow. Sexy.

Ultramarines players are shedding a single tear of sadness, but that's the way it should be.

Two big thumbs up on this mini!! Your stuble on his face is seriously awesome and his base work is very well done!

Thanks.

On the 5 o'clock shadow, I did a little write up on Painting Male Faces (http://www.gardenninja.com/?p=369) that you might be interested in.

As for the rest of the face, the main trick I used was to shade it in different colors. I had a green and a red that I mixed for shading- also, I mixed a lot of my base flesh color into those and did quite a bit of dancing between the three. The result is a face that has more variety than a standard mini face, and looks more organic and a little more realistic.
