I'll be amazed if the Warmachine / Hordes Mk.2 rulebooks aren't on the short list although I suspect that Codex: Dark Eldar will win in the end just because of the greater popularity of the game

Meh. The Tabletop Gaming News reader's choice awards mean quite a bit more. Their readership tends to keep up on more than just GW games, and the result is a lot more diversity in the products they nominate.

I mean, are you actually going to trust a 'book of the year' vote that won't even allow things like Infinity or Malifaux to compete? Much less any actually new game that came out last year like Freebooter's Fate.

Anyway, Privateer Press deserves the award, even if it were just for their open beta. But then, this forum barely has boards for games other than Warhammer 40,000.
