Don't want to give too much away but gives insight into the "greater power" at work pulling the strings of heresy.

I think its Abnett's best work to date.

So different and personal, its almost not a 40k novel, but a great sci-fi novel that happens to be set in the 40k universe.

Agreed, completely redefined the SWs and has a whole lot of very interesting "connective tissue" tying togetheir other novels and the Heresy as a whole.

It was incredibly well done.

It got rid of all that stupid Wolf Wolves from Wolf Planet and instead replaced it with a real fictional culture. How radical!!!
