I decided I might try to play my OK army under the new rules and I was just wondering what thoughts anyone might have concerning the use of OK spell casters. At first glance Gut Magic seems a little weak considering miscasts, low casting costs/ease of dispel maybe, and just in general. Ii was thinking at 2250 just to go defensive. Thoughts?

OK magic is actually really great. You cast any of your spells on a single dice roll of 3+, and you can how have multiple RIP spells going at once, what's not to love!
I personally use a Slaughtermaster in 2k+ games, and my magic strategy generally consists of using 2 dice to cast each spell, until i'm down to my last 2-3, which I then start rolling single dice to cast.

Remember to tjek out the new erreta regarding slaughtermasters and butchers:D
Suddenly they are worth it.
May I recomend you go for the Hell Heart and or the Halfling Cook Book.

Thanks for the info. I was planning on just taking a single Butcher, so I am not sure I can afford the magic items. I was going to go more defensive. I guess the issue really is I am worried about bad die rolling and such. Anyway, I guess I will just play and see what happens.
