hi fuzzy here with my latest little painting fun =D a dark eldar archon for spikeybitz new contest
sadly i couldnt do conversions with this beatiful model

i tried a white archon to
a) test painting white and cause i raerly see white DE

so without further ado (yeh i did 3 photoshoots and 2 repaints -_-)

I think the black lines between the armour plates are too extreme. A black wash would do the job better IMHO.

i was considering that but i think it would dull down the white?

I'd paint the Flames on his hand a different color to make them stand out a bit more, atm they blend in.

Looks more dirty than white.

Could be the photos though.

Water it down and then re-highlight the edges with pure white, that's how I do mine (see hair of mandrake below):

i was trying too keep a pallet so red gold and green (teeney tiny cloth, eyes and gems)

i suppose is slightly greyish? it was vallego white and fortress grey (i think its the lightest GW grey)

I approve. I nearly did white Dark eldar myself, just to be different. But my Eldar army is already white.:(

I paint white on figure sized models by starting white skull white undercoat, Badab black wash, then layers of codex grey, fortess grey and a few thin coats of skull white. For vehicles the same but starting with black undercoat and no wash. After a bit of practise you get a nice shiny white with a dark grey/black shading to the armour plates.
