I bashed this prototype heresy era terminator together and thought I'd throw it out there for comments. It's a simple idea using spare venerable dread parts and exposed power cells.
I've seen a supposed FW model pic floating around but it looked a bit weird.
What does anyone think, does this have potential or is it back to the drawing board?
It's no particular legion at the moment, I'm just trying to get a good concept before I do something properly.
Thanks :)

This looks incredible, the true "tactical dreadnaught" look. Legs would need to be bulked up to match the torso, and Heresy era pauldrons:

Nice. I wouldn't have thought to use some of those peices, but it works.

very very very nice !
my only little whim
is the legs look a wee bit thin and it needs hersy style pads and helmet (GK ones or a sheved down plastic one)
but a very nice execution of concept. i attempted to do a similar thing with a TS GK that got WAY out of hand (read 3x size of a SM)
lovely work are you planning for a squad?

Thanks guys, any suggestions on how to bulk up the legs?
I've gotten good enough with green stuff that I could probably use that, but any other ideas welcome.
The current arms are just a stop gap and the final version will have more heresy appropriate pads

i dunno - i think the legs are ok - the arms and chest liken the old and i mean OLD termies from the late 80's

The shoulder pads are the only complaint I have. The pre-heresy Terminators didn't have the curves-- they were parallel to the ground surface.
Otherwise, awesome.

Okay, I've changed the legs augmenting them a but with some marine shoulder pads.
Ignoring the arms, (which need to be changed but I only had black reach arms in my bits box and the shoulder pads are integrated) better or worse?
Thanks

I would carve and greenstuff where the front and back chest plates meet, make it a bit more sleek

I don't like the shoulder pads, it is too obvious what they are. I'd scuplt something similar to Lamenter's segmented armor:
