I hate metal models and will go to almost any lengths to get or convert plastic ones.
Unfortunately the chaos daemon army has some big gaps in plastic.

Does anyone have some useful suggestions for model ideas?

Here's what I am thinking at the moment:-

plaguebearers - use WFB ghouls

bloodthirster - use balrog from LotR

flamers of tzeentch - use WFB woodelf dryads, Trim off leaves etc and paint in fiery colours

fiends of slaanesh - use chaos spawn models

khorne flesh hounds - use WFB chaos warhounds

tzeentch herald in chariot - looking for inspiration!!

Any comments on this? Would you object to facing these models in these roles on the gaming table?
Thanks in advance.

Here are my all, or mostly, plastic takes on some of the things you have put below. I'm particularly pleased with the plaguebearers.

Plaguebearers: Use Bloodletters

Fiends: I went for a completely different look using daemonettes and Tyranid ravener parts. (You could do something similar with the new seeker kit)

Bloodthirster: The balrog really is the only realistic plastic option I can think of for a bloodthirster unless you're willing to settle for a mini-me daemon prince.

Thanks for that. The plaguebearers look quite good. I reckon I could do that.

I like the idea of putting the top of a daemonette on something - I will give it some thought.

I put the daemonette on top of a spider from WHFB - I think it was the goblin spider riders. Remove goblin, add daemonette torso. I also added some scorpion tails to the spiders from privateer press' bits site.
