I built this Skarbrand conversion (http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/152184-Skarbrand%2C%20The%20Exiled.html) using parts from a variety of Games Workshop kits as well as a bit of plastic rod and a scenic skull base from Micro Arts Studio. I put my Daemons on square bases to make them more usable for both Fantasy and 40K. Skarbrand's wings in the Codex Daemons book are described as being "torn to shreds" and I decided to go with that literally and have wings that were torn up, but still present rather than no wings at all. I've seen several conversions where the wings were completely chopped off leaving only stumps sticking out the back of the model and I have not found that to be aesthetically pleasing so I took the approach you see here instead. They also add to the model's bulk, making him look larger and more imposing.

Got any close up pics of the pint texture and blending? Pics are too far away for my tastes.

Thanks for the comments and interest. There's a version on my Gallery on Dakkadakka (http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/152184-Skarbrand%2C%20The%20Exiled.html?m=2) that is 200 pixels wider than that shown here if that helps get a better view. If there are questions about color scheme, bits used, etc. feel free to post them.

I don't want a wider picture, lol, I want a picture of its face, arms, wings, base, etc, so I can see the details!

Stop teasing me.

Thanks for the interest. Here are some pics with a bigger, better, closer view. Since the first picture was posted this model met with a minor accident, so there have been a couple small modifications in the repair and touch-up process:
