Hey folks,
about one year ago I bought my girlfriend a space wolves pack box to get her into wargaming. After discovering pics of the Red Corsairs paint scheme, she decided to paint her minis that way.
Here´s a pic of the very fist marine she painted; whaddaya think?

It looks good a first model, looks like a washes on the gold and red, minor highlights (on legs and black elbow pads are the only areas i see), would make it great tabletop figure

Better than my first model, the only thing which, in my opinion, looks less than tabletop standard is the eye.

I actually reall like the eye. xD It reminds me of the old-school Zakus from Mobile Suit: Gundam.

The model aside (which is pretty dang good), I think the fact that you got your girlfriend into hobbying with you to be the clear winner!! Congrats, hope that lasts! Was able to get my wife to play Eldar twice before we found out we were going to have a baby. That was 11yrs ago and she hasn't picked up the dice since:( Working on getting my 11yr old into the game now though to make up for it:p

Miles ahead in terms of quality than my first model. Excellent work.

It wasn't too hard a choice for her to put it all down... but the way I saw it, there were 9mo of bun in the oven time that she could have taken advantage of!! Could've set a paint station up on that belly and cranked em' out while on bed rest!! LOL.
