Hi folks,

I do not know where to introduce myself, we are supposed to do that in my country, but nobody ends up reading it, so I'll just do that here.

Since you already know I'm not a native english speaker, so please do not use too much more abbreviations in your replies. As a painter it's been about 10 years i commit low quality armies. For 40k I have lots of imperial guard, some sister, one deathwing. I'm also starting urban war and confrontation (these were preety cheap a few time ago... i like own a lot of models).
There is my space hulk wip project.

Any comments welcome. And if someone got a piece of advice for gold, I'll be the happiest man on earth.

Looks great! If you are looking to add to them then the only thing I could suggest is maybe give the genestealers a glossy coat to make them looks slimey.

for the gold if you are doing non metalic metals (not using shiny paint) id suggest WD 364 blood angels

or my way of it is

1) calthan brown or snakebite leather.
2) mix previous with a small bit of yellow.
3) at a tiny bit of vallejo white
4) add a tiny bit more white
5) blend white till pure white
6) finished :D

or if you use shiny paints
1) shining gold#
2) highlight with burnished gold
3) levithan purple wash

very nice looking models by the way they are very good

thks,

I'll try that on my next set of figures, i think I am too advanced now to restard Gold.

@JKR: For the glossy effect, I'm not found of varnish, since it does modify the colour of the models lightly. As well with plastic no need to protect the paint ^^

I'll try to work on that (and maybe finish this week, but I'm fairly busy).

still my small site (http://pretorien40k.over-blog.com/) for follow up of subject.

You may want to check the space hulk (http://pretorien40k.over-blog.com/categorie-11191916.html) category.

On my long quest to finish my space Hulk, I stumbled on some old unpainted yet undercoated stuff. It was fast painted but i think you might find it interesting.

more of it here (http://pretorien40k.over-blog.com/article-decors-bon-marche-pt-8-60385623.html) Yet some of it is still WIP. I hope I'll have more space hulk by next week if my wife agrees on letting me paint !!

P.S. sorry for triple post.
