Okay, I sold off all my other 40k stuff and have collected way too many Space Marines. I am doing them as a Raven Guard successor because the drop pods are just too cool. I will post here as I can but I want this to keep me going.

I have done a ton of conversions but I'll start with the basic squad for my test scheme. Wish the basic box guys weren't in the squad but I used a bunch of them to test the red, man did it take forever to get it the way I wanted it.

I know the symbol is close to the Deathwatch Strom Wardens, oh well, I've been working on them for two years, I should have posted sooner...

This is tactical squad Matteo.

Great job on the missile launcher, how did you create that effect? Is it just green stuff?

Great looking models! My only criticism would be the sergeant's face. It seems kind of flat and really dull compared to bold colours you've otherwise chosen. Getting some more depth there will ultimately make the sergeant - one of the standout models - much stronger in appearance. I think that would be good overall for the squad. :)

Nonetheless, great work! It's awesome to see something unique in terms of paint schemes for marines minus the usual UM, Salamanders, BA, and SW! :D Keep it up!

Rocket trail fumes can be found here, along with jet pack trails and more.

Thanks for the comments guys. Yep, that's where the rocket trail was from, you'll see I've collected stuff from all the companies that make SM compatible bits.

The Sergeants face... not to pull the "there's more depth in real life" but there is just a bit. He has a five o'clock shadow that barely shows up in the photo.

As a RG successor, I wanted them to have the pale, black hair Edgar Allen Poe thing going on. I've decided to make each flesh technique different as I try to achieve this. I have a few without helmets on (but always at their waist, it's a peeve of mine when they have none to put on, being SMs and all).

This guy was Palid Flesh, a touch of ogryn flesh in the crevices and then palid with some fortress grey mixed in. I'd be happy to hear any other suggestions for pale, Raven Guard type faces.

Argghh, glad I posted these, realize now I never did the burnt end on the flamer. Any ideas how to pull this off well?

I have some of the forge world powders and was going to try some black....
