I was hoping for something much less Empire-ish.

i'd like to see what this scaled up looks like - not super impressed so far. they look less than decent. hopefully there will be some circle of magic's on the top of the tower. i was really hoping for some high elf style stuff

Wouldn't go quite that far but it does look overdone (and a bit on the short side IMO)

It is 18" tall apparently.

Hmm... guess the picture could do with a model in it to get an idea of scale.

It is 18" tall apparently. That's good to know. The photo gave no idea of scale whatsoever.

Some more pictures, shamelessly borrowed from the terrain topic on Warseer:

I'm definitely getting one or two of the towers, might even expand my Empire baby-army to go with it.

Up for Advance Order today: Witchfate Tor, Dreadstone Blight (http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/blogPost.jsp?aId=13600048a)
Witchfate Tor comes in stacking sections. Multiple kits can be combined to make it taller.

Agreed, can even make 3-4 smaller towers from 2 sets. With minor conversion can even make more. Have to love how they always show the box art with all the extra added. My VC is collecting his slaves to 'decorate' the tower with.

I realise I'm quoting myself, but looking at the pictures for the Tor I just can't get 18". 12", maybe 14" but not 18". I forget who said 18" but I really think it is wrong.
It is 18" tall apparently.
