No, theres a special limited edition Dark Eldar thing (not a model) that hasn't been put up for pre-order yet. Also, the reliable rumourmongers are fairly sure there will be no battleforce.

I just spend an embaressing amount of money on toy soldiers. If my mother finds out...

Expect there will be another mini-wave in a couple of weeks like they did with the Daemons, containing the ravager, Helions etc.

I also think that there was a second Archon with a whip, ranged weapon and different heads on display at Games Day, so that could be the limited edition you are referring to? (see left of pic, looks like an Archon but could be some sort of kit bash or early stage mini)

I'd be surprised if there wasn't eventually a battleforce, although I don't think there was one for the Blood Angels (as opposed to the Space Wolves) so you could be right and GW are now getting rid of practically the only discounted models they have.

Now I just have to wait one more month. Hopefully some female mandrake conversions should keep me busy for a while.

Actually I'm fairly that picture was labelled 'Archon conversions', but I do think we will see another archon model at some point.

The main body of the model looks the same so I'd imagine Eldargal is right, they're just showing off the Archon model's interchangeability with the plastic kits.

It seems the special edition item is a terrain piece representing the Webway Portal, and pure speculation that what hte warriors are standing on in the following picture is it. I doubt they would slap the special edition item on the box art but who knows:

I ordered Warriors wyches lelith a raider and the book. Im trying to spread the cost of my stuff over this month and next so I dont go mental.

Its hard though, I so wanted the bikes too but I`ll be good.... probably...

I don't think slottas are so bad for them - they'd have an absolutely miniscule surface area to contact with otherwise, and getting them to not look like they're falling over would be a nightmare.

I to am glad for the slottas, I was expecting them to be a nightmare to get to stand up and prevent from breaking off of their bases otherwise.

slottas are a must for any model with such a small surface area connecting foot to base... and if you really don't want the slottas you can always trim them off (i.e. for detailed/sculpted bases, dioramas, etc).

@eldargal if you look closley at the "WEBWAYPORTAL" youll see it just a LOAD of craftworld/dark veichal bits stuck together :( theres 9 starcannons and nemerous loyalist bitz :(

I have $200 burning a hole in my pocket so I figured I would try a putting together a 500 point Dark Eldar force. Just enough to get my feet wet. Now, I don't know anything about Dark Eldar point costs but I estimated the following. So, all you people in the know, tell me if I'm way off.

HQ
Archon 100 points $15

Troops
Kabalite Warriors 100 points $24.75
Wyches 100 points $24.75

Dedicated Transports

For a grand total of 500 points and $194.25. Is this nutty or just right?

Well for a guess your points match up with the old dex pretty well...
Heres the list I made using your guides:

Archon (drugs, agoniser, pistol, plasma grenade)
4 wyches (wych weapons, plasma grenades)
Wych succubus (agoniser, pistol, wych weapons, plasma grenade)
Raider

9 warriors (blaster, dark lance)
Raider

3 reaver jetbikes (2 blasters)

Total 498 points.

Don't know how well it'll transfer over to the new points for the new dex... but with the current one, not a bad guess at all.
