Assaulting out of a Caestus Assault Ram

Can a unit assault out of a Caestus if it has moved flat out (36")?

Not sure how assaulting out of fast skimmers work, and of course the Caestus moves 36" flat out!

Hey,

Is I'm not mistaken, the Rulebook disallows embarking and disembarking from a vehicle if you moved flat out (P.70 BRB). According to the nice table on P.302, if you move more then Cruising Speed (which is up to 12"), you're automatically moving Flat Out.

So, I'd say, as you're not allowed to disembark, you cant assault either. (Unless, off course, there is some Special Rule in de Caestus entry which allows embarking/disembarking from it when it moves Flat Out. In that case, I'd say it is allowed).

Normally this would be correct and you couldn't assault out or indeed get out of it if it moved above cruising speed...would make Eldar Banshees scary from a wave serpent if they could

The Casteus has the rule of "Assault Vehicle...units may assault the turn they disembark". If they can't disembark, they can't assault. At flat out its simply moving too fast for anyone to jump out, even termy armoured marines
