Hello all, I was just wondering if there has been any ruling on what constitutes a lesser daemon for use in a chaos marine army?

I assume plaguebearers, bloodletters, horrors and daemonettes would count, but what about bases (25mm or 40mm) of nurglings?

I recently played someone who used nurgling (40mm) bases as his summoned lesser daemons, I was ok with it, it seemed a cool idea.

Thanks!

They're certainly not Greater Daemons. I see no problem with it, except that Nurglings are dumb. :P

Yeah, I use zombies for lesser daemons but if someone pulled nurglings on me, I'd be okay with it. It may come off as a bit "beardy" with them being on larger bases but I'm not going to be the one to crack down on you. (I leave that to the secret Warhammaz police!)

it's all about using beastmen, ghouls, and zombies from Fantasy, all of which make great 'lesser daemons'.

Nurglings seem a bit easy to take advantage of TLOS. I probably wouldn't take them to an organised event but otherwise should be OK.
