Warhammer Fantasy is dominating the release schedule and I'm sick of it.
I want some new 40K stuff....but all we're getting is fantasy, and it looks to be that way for the rest of the year.
I think I'm going into the early stages of withdrawl. If I manage to kick my habit, because GW isn't supplying me my fix, what will I do?

Could just join them :P And to be fair we just got new plastic demons, just cos they can be used for both don't make them non 40K. They've just released a new edition it was like this for 40K when 5th came out...
And if you listen to rumours Dark Eldar are in November, GK are early next year with a probable plastic stormraven

Ugh, fantasy takes the spotlight for a small percentage of the last 2-3 years and its all toys out the pram.
40k dominates far more so stop your whining.

And 40k releases have been coming out more frequently than they have in the past, too.

And 40k has fewer insane combos than WHFB. Besides, why just run around with a sword when you can run around with a sword and laser gun while driving a tank!!! :P

This is what happens during a core rulebook release year. One system inevitably gets ignored for 3-4 months.
The Fantasy 8th Edition release window is slowly coming to a close. In 3 weeks time, Gameday UK will be here with the big Dark Eldar unveil, then things should slowly return to being more 40k centric.
Just concentrate your thoughts on Commorragh, its all be better soon :)

I hated it first.
Ignore it and hope it goes away, like the current crop of crap vampire movies.
It works for me.

Don't forget the *CENSORED AND SUBJECT EXECUTED BY THE INQUISITION* fever. A Canadian. That sings like a girl. Yeah...I love the =I=!!

Fantasy had 1 codex release in February after that they got nothing until July. In that gap, 40k saw the release of The Blood Angels Codex, Battle Missions AND Spearhead. Since the new edition of WFB was released 40k has seen a second wave (Daemons) and a bunch of new Forge World models. In that same time period Fantasy has received a new rule book, some limited edition gimmicks, 2 second waves (Daemons & High Elves) and a starter set.
So really, it's more of a wash. The first half of the year was front loaded with 40k while the back half with Fantasy.
P.S. Just to emphasize my point 40k just received a very large second wave just 2-3 weeks ago. Just 3 months ago to that 40k received a large number of new kits for a variety of armies. We've hardly been in some kind of 40k dry spell.

I'm one of those people who jumped onto the "OMFG 8th ed!" band wagon and I gotta say its been a lot of fun. I was an exclusively 40k player for the past 4 1/2 years but decided to start a Beastmen army with the release of 8th and its been a great breath of fresh air really. Going through the excitement of learning the new system and finding out what works and what doesn't through pure trial and error has been a lot of fun. This may inspire me to look at other games in a couple years too. Always fun to shake things up a bit.:D
